Special Guest! Author and Columnist Pam Anderson is coming to EQ! Pam is the monthly food columnist for USA Weekend and Better Homes and Gardens. She is author of five books—CookSmart, as well as Julia Child award winning, The Perfect Recipe, and James Beard Award nominees, How to Cook Without a Book and Perfect Recipes for Having People Over. The Perfect Recipe for Losing Weight and Eating Great is her latest.
She is former Executive Editor of Cook's Illustrated magazine, and is a contributing editor for Fine Cooking magazine. Her food articles have appeared in Food and Wine, Fine Cooking, Bon Appetit, Cooking Light, Real Simple, Better Homes and Gardens, Saveur, Ladies Home Journal, and The Washington Post. She has been featured in US News and World Report. She teaches cooking classes across the country and appears frequently on TV and radio.
I’ve admired Pam’s work for years and have been impressed at her recent transformation. She finally tired of yo-yo dieting and figured out how to change her life. Three years ago Pam lost 40 pounds. More to the point, she’s kept it off. To lose weight and maintain it, she had to find a way to shave calories from her diet, without much compromise. Like everyone else, she wanted her meals fast, foolproof, flavorful and fun.
Her class will be part seminar—teaching people how to change their lives so they’re motivated to eat a little less and exercise a little more—and part cooking class. She’ll demonstrate a recipe or formula from each meal of her day: breakfast, lunch, tea-time, pre-dinner nibble, and dinner, ending class with a light dessert.
