What’s the EQ Mission Statement?

Our mission is to raise the community's Entertainment Quotient by sharing our joy, passion and knowledge of good food, good drink and lively entertaining while encouraging our students to live, laugh and learn. What's your EQ?

Do I need to register in advance?

Yes. We require advance registration and payment in full to reserve a seat in a class.

When should I arrive for class?

Our classes start promptly so please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of class to sign in and get settled.

Will I get to eat at EQ cooking classes?

Yes. All of our demonstration classes offer generous tastings of the items prepared by the instructor. In our hands-on classes, you'll eat the dishes that you have personally prepared.

Tell me about a hands-on class.

If you like to get into the action, we recommend a hands-on class. Limited to just 8 students, there's plenty of one-on-one time with our dynamic instructors. You'll get up close and personal with our state-of-the-art kitchen and prepare deliciously do-able recipe on Wolf ranges using All-Clad Cookware, KitchenAid mixers, Cuisinart food processors and full compliment of knives. Once your meal is prepared, you’ll sit down and dine with your instructor at a beautifully appointed dining table, complete with fine wines, soft lighting and candle light.

What can I expect at a demonstration class?

For the fine living enthusiast that simply wants to pull up a (comfortable) chair, try one of our interactive demonstration classes where each and every student enjoys the best seat in the house thanks to our high-tech audio visual system. Six flat screen television monitors let you watch even the smallest detail in living color. While you enjoy sampling each dish your instructor prepares, you'll also enjoy tastings of fine wines carefully selected by our wine department to further enhance your culinary experience. If you'd like, you may also select a glass of wine for purchase from our exclusive wine list.

What's the cancellation policy?

You may cancel up to 3 days prior to class for a full refund. For cancellations less than 3 days before class, there are no refunds.

Can I buy a gift certificate for a class?

Yes. We offer gift certificates that can be used toward a class or merchandise in the store.

What equipment or supplies should I bring with me?

You don’t need to bring a thing. We supply everything you need, including an apron. Dress comfortably.
