 CARLOS TORAÑO Cigars The Toraño story begins in 1916 with emigration of Don Santiago Toraño from Spain to Cuba, where he became involved in the tobacco world brokering some of the world’s finest tobacco leaves. Santiago Toraño had three sons, Jaime, Jose and Carlos and all were involved in the tobacco industry. After the Cuban revolution Carlos Toraño took his passion to the Dominican Republic where he was credited with bringing Cuban seed to the Dominican. Today we know that tobacco as Piloto Cubano. The Toraño family name has been associated with the highest quality of cigars for the past three generations. |
